Aviva B. Mehlow is a software engineer and technical leader with over 11 years of experience building robust, data-intensive systems in Python. With a background in mathematics and computational science, Aviva excels at turning complex, ambiguous problems into reliable, production-ready software.
Aviva has led engineering teams and mission-critical projects across climate tech and scientific computing; she works closely with researchers to bridge theory and real-world impact. As a values-driven leader, Aviva focuses on equity, clear communication, and building healthy, high-trust engineering cultures.
Maxine Navarrette Head of Science, Founding Partner LinkedIn
MSc in soil biogeochemistry and Bsc in geological sciences. Maxine specializes in carbon sequestration solutions and greenhouse gas accounting, with deep experience quantifying carbon, nitrogen, and related analytes in regenerative agriculture and enhanced rock weathering systems. She brings a strong background in bayesian statistics, environmental data analysis, and Verra-aligned VCM project development.
Julia Lorien Head of Software, Founding Partner LinkedIn
Julia is professional software engineer of 9 years focused on development for mission-driven organizations. Her past roles have included work in ag/climate, education, and financial management for home and community based healthcare. Her focus has been building for database-heavy, mission-critical systems and supporting early career engineers through mentorship. Prior to her career in software, Julia studied Biology and conducted research in the fields of microbiology, environmental ecology, and vision science.
